Monterrey, a city where history and modernity come together, being the Macroplaza (The Great Square) an example of this. The Metropolitan Cathedral (an eighteenth century building) makes contrast next to the Commerce Lighthouse, that projects a green laser to be seen from many places around the city. The Santa Lucia River Walk is nearby, a two kilometer long channel that connects the Mexican History Museum and the Northeastern Museum –both located in the Macroplaza–, with the Fundidora Park.

The old foundry terrain is now one of the greatest city prides: The Fundidora Park, a space that melts together the history of the steel industry with the concept of a modern park, where outdoor activities, such as skating, can be practiced. Cultural and business activities can be performed (at the Cintermex Center) and there is also the option to stay at a comfortable hotel.
