Migratory Information

Immigration requirements

A document showing the hotel reservation, a plane ticket back home, or an itinerary of the trip are required. You can also show an invitation letter, or an acceptation letter from an educational mexican institution, that invites you to participate in a research project for no longer than 80 days.

Updated passport is also required: ordinary, diplomatic, or service–passport. Foreigners visiting as tourists, in stays no longer than 180 days, will have to fill a FMM (Multiple Migratory Formulary). This is a document to state their condition as non-immigrants, due to their short-stay visit. FMM's are available at the airlines front desks, travel agencies, and other entrance ports to Mexico. A FMM must be turned in for each person coming into the country.
